According to The Hollywood Reporter, Screen Gems has teamed with Aniston
to make a film recounting a story about racial tension.Screen Gems has
acquired the rights to Holler, a book written by Dana Adam Shapiro.
Based on true events, the story follows the life of a bi-racial student
and his white mother in Mississippi.
When he falls in love with a white
girl, he is shocked when he is stopped from taking his white date to
the prom. The incident sparks changes in the school and the entire
community.The film will be produced by Kristin Hahn, Aniston's partner
at Echo Films, along with Tracey
Durning. Aniston will have the title of executive producer along with
Jeff Mandel.Jennifer Aniston is currently filming The Bounty in New York
with Gerard Butler. She will also be sharing screen with Aaron Eckhart
in the romantic comedy Love Happens, opening on September 18.
